The poster for my exhibition will be bursting with colour to attract peoples attention and excite them to see my work. The main part of my exhibition will be a giant lollipop, therefore that will be used in the poster to give people an idea of what the exhibition will be about in advance. My first ideas for a poster was made to look like a land inspired by sweets, with a lollipop sun and a field filled with lollipops. I didn't like how it turned out out so I moved on to the next idea. This idea was inspired by how I imagine the exhibition to look with multi-coloured ribbons hanging from the ceiling and colourful buttons spilled on the floor inspired by Felix Gonzalez-Torres's sweets installation. I wasn't happy with either of those posters so I made a digital poster instead. I used a photo that I took of a pile of drumstick lollies as the background and just experimented with different text over the top with the location, date and time. I used my phone to take the photo and I edited it on my laptop to adjust the colours and text.
The third poster here is my favorite because the white banners behind the text make it look nice and bright, I also like that it shows the location at the bottom in smaller text.
