I made 3 paintings using acrylic on cardboard in a pop art style (sweets), 3 using acrylic on paper (donuts) and another one using acrylic on thicker paper intended for water colour paints. I am also making 3 giant drumstick lolly sculptures cardboard, modroc and a wooden stick for the lolly stick part. They will be painted with acrylic paint when the modroc is finished. I also bought 100 drumstick lollies and measure them all equally and stuck them to 2 square pieces of clear acrylic sheet. The acrylic sheets will be displayed on easels. I think it will look futuristic and and the acrylic will look polished against the wooden easel as well as the drumsticks looking like they're floating. I used masking tape to measure equal spaces between each lolly so that it looks organised. The tape will be removed before the exhibition. I also filled clear acrylic baubles with multi-coloured polystyrene balls that look like hundreds and thousands that go on ice cream. The clear baubles fit with the theme of the acrylic sheets. They will be hung from the ceiling by colourful ribbons to fit with the colourful theme.
