I discovered self taught artist Cisco on Instagram. Cisco creates coloured pencil drawings of animals with parts of them replaced with 'swarms' of cartoon characters or emojis. I think that these drawings could suggest that cartoons could replace what is important in your mind. As many animals are going extinct as a consequence of human actions, people can relax and watch cartoons and not worry about it. I find that this relates to my work because some of my paintings imply that a people can be replaced by an emoji and their personality can be replaces by a character made up in their mind of who they want to be.
