I also discovered this artist from Instagram. Alec monopoly reminds me of a modern day Andy Warhol because they both made art about consumerism. Andy Warhol made the Campbells soup cans painting which Alec Monopoly referred to in one of his paintings. Monopoly also paints dollar signs in a lot which symbolises consumerism. This inspires my work because the artist displays their work on instagram and my project is about advertisements on Instagram. I also like the cartoon style of their work.
